Effective July 1, 2022, employers are required to post the URL for their self-insured medical plans for information related to machine-readable files in accord with the Consolidated Appropriations No Surprises Act (“NSA”). Key components of the NSA include:

• The prohibition of balance billing,
• An arbitration process for disputes, and
• Coordination with state surprise billing laws.
