OmniServ is an ABM company based in the U.K. and provides passenger handling and technical services for airlines and airports worldwide, OmniServ is best known for its hospitality and concierge services to all travelers, including passengers with reduced mobility (PRM). At Heathrow airport, OmniServ staff attend to transportation and special assistance needs and requests of more than one million wheelchair users, passengers with sight or hearing impairments, and the elderly annually.

The Evolution of the ABM Logo

1909 — The company destined to become ABM is founded by 31-year-old Morris Rosenberg. He offers window washing services to merchants in San Francisco.

1913 — To mark its expansion from window washing to complete janitorial services, Morris changes the company’s name to American Building Maintenance Company.

The 1940s

Ted Rosenberg takes over following the unexpected death of his father. ABM had annual sales of $750,000 and had opened new offices in 17 cities in the United States and Canada.

1949 — The company creates a new logo and the famous “Giant Janitor” is a copyrighted trademark.

The 1980s

ABM began the 1980s with annual revenues of $300M and ended the decade surpassing $500M through organic growth and acquisitions.

With aspirations of achieving $1B in annual revenue, ABM creates a new logo.
