Mark Hawkinson, Panelist

Mark Hawkinson serves as President of Technical Solutions at ABM, overseeing the company’s leadership in facility infrastructure, resiliency, energy storage, EV charging, mechanical, and power services. His work helps clients unlock potential, optimize performance, improve efficiency, strengthen resiliency, and advance sustainability goals.


During his more than 20 years at ABM, Mark has held increasingly strategic leadership roles across sales and operations. He led the development of ABM’s turnkey EV solutions business and helped establish ABM as a U.S. market leader in electrical and EV infrastructure solutions. He also led the 2022 acquisition of RavenVolt, expanding ABM’s advanced microgrid capabilities.


Mark oversees ABM Performance Solutions, which brings integrated facility services together under one streamlined delivery model. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Noodoe and is a graduate of North Central College.

Cody Guidry, Panelist

Cody brings more than 16 years of leadership in the battery energy storage industry and is recognized as a pioneer and subject-matter expert in the field. He currently serves as Vice President of Sales at ABM, where he helps advance energy storage, microgrid, and resilience solutions for clients with complex power needs.


Before joining ABM, Cody served as Senior Director of Business Development & Sales at Stem, Inc., where he helped drive growth across multiple energy storage segments. His experience spans U.S. and international markets, with deep expertise across Commercial & Industrial (C&I), microgrid, and utility-scale projects.


Cody is a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas State University.

Ryan Shaw, Panelist

Ryan serves as Senior vice President of Operations and Maintenance at ABM, where he leads teams responsible for keeping distributed energy assets online, reliable, and ready when customers need them most. He brings 11 years of experience across the chemical and electrical industries.


Ryan's work sits at the intersection of infrastructure, software, and operations, helping customers turn backup power and microgrids into dependable resilience systems.


Ryan holds an MBA from MIT, along with a PhD and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and previously served as a management consultant at Boston Consulting group, where he advised organizations on operational and analytical excellence.

Alex Freidin, Moderator

Alex Freidin is Vice President of Corporate Strategy at ABM, partnering across corporate, operations, and business units to solve high-impact challenges and accelerate decision-making. Overseeing a team delivering enterprise-wide programs, Alex leads rapid strategy development, new product, and go-to-market initiatives.
